Move, Noise of Art and The Social and Cross Club present a cross border line-up of up-and-coming Czech, Italian and London acts, with VIAH joining German born, Italian Vonica live and host DJ Ben Osborne.

VIAH
Prague based producer and vocalist Viah sprang to the forefront of the Czech alt. club scene with last year’s Tears of a Giant. Blending her minimalist electro with producer’s Jiří Burian’s deeper dance grooves, her debut album is diverse in sound, as tracks morph from whispery piano to monumental dancefloor burners. Viah’s become a fixture on the Bohemian electronic anti-pop scene, and has a natural inclination towards making accessible experimental music. Her live shows prove her talent as a performer as well as producer, fusing theatre, art and fashion. Her family background is part Czech, part Vietnamese and part English. In June 2019 she was voted the most promising progressive Czech act by an international jury of radio experts at Prague’s Metronome Festival.

Vonica
German-born, Italian-raised electronic music producer Vonica, fuses electronic styles to create melodic and challenging music that’s good for your head and soul, as well as your feet. His debut EP, Sol de Nit, picked up praise from Mixmag, Clash, the 405 and the Line of Best Fit and radio support from Radio X (John Kennedy) and 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Radcliffe & Maconie). His latest EP (released 4 February), If You’re New Here Dance, has been described by Industry bible Record of The Day as “a vibrant concoction of joyous melodies and eccentric rhythms that just makes you want to move. Recalling elements of SebastiAn, Caribou and Hot Chip, expect to see this alt banger added to dance playlists across streaming services and pick up more love from online tastemakers .”

Ben Osborne
Described as a “Polymath” by Time Out, Ben is an award winning creative producer, DJs internationally, writer, radio presenter and founder of the pioneering Noise of Art (“an actual Cathedral of Sound” – The Guardian).  His career includes pioneering late night music events in art institutions in London, pushing the boundaries of cross platform art and music, and sound-tracking rare silent films in partnership with the British Film Institute. He’s worked with renown fine artists, created music made from a Portuguese factory and produced shows with actors such as Nathaniel Parker and Maxine Peake. He’s DJed alongside diverse acts, such as Groove Armada, Booka Shade, Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garnier, Horse Meat Disco DJs, Danny Rampling, Justin Robertson, Martyn Ware (Heaven 17/ Human League), Red Snapper and many more, and played at parties for icons such as Paul McCartney (The Beatles) and Neil Innes (The Ruttles). He has DJ residencies in the UK and Europe and performs at leading venues and festivals.
