Shilpa Ray – fiery blues-punk future-icon – stops over in London for one night only as part of a European tour in support of new album ‘Door Girl’. We’re ecstatic to be hosting her once again at The Social, our favourite concrete bunker bar in all of London, and the only place that could possibly contain the music we’ll be unleashing.
Shilpa and her band have been making waves for a few years in their adopted home of New York. Championed by Nick Cave, the release of debut album ‘Last Year’s Savage’ marked her out as an act to pay close attention to.
We’ve got support from Katie Mac, whose brooding alt-rock sound comes with witching hour attitude and vocals that pack a knock-out punch. We also have new kids on the block, Scrounge. They’re gonna tear through their songs and leave you gasping for breath, and you’re going to fucking love them. Both acts are stupidly good, frankly, and we’d happily pay just to hear them play a single song. But that’s not how this works.
