7 Nov 2017 - 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
THE FIX (in association with BMI) will be back for our penultimate night of the year at The Social on Tuesday November 7th with a line-up featuring the best new breaking bands. And as always, it’ll be FREE ENTRY all night.
PLAYING LIVE ON THE NIGHT
SPHYNX (9.30pm) – Hailing from Austin Texas, Sphynx bring a big 80s-tinged meld of synth-pop and fist-pumping rock ballads to create a real party atmosphere that fans of early MGMT or Passion Pit will instantly head down the front for.
STORME (8.45pm) – New London-based Swedish synth-pop act with a sound reminiscent of Robyn and Anna Of The North. Storme will be bringing her fresh take on classic Scandinavian pop to THE FIX for a special show.
LAURA OAKES (8.15pm) – Part of the UK country scene which is quietly winning over a major audience (Ward Thomas and The Shires both having Top 5 hit albums last year) Laura Oakes is a young Liverpudlian with a warm soulful voice; it’s no surprise she’s had plenty of interest both here and across the pond in Nashville.
SAMPSON (7.45pm) – New Canadian talent whose debut single ‘Shake The Fire’ is a brilliant introduction. Featuring a soaring emotion-drenched vocal on top of a wonderful guitar/synth bed, it’s already been supported by Spotify via various key playlists including New Music Friday and Canada’s Viral 50. Fans of Lorde and St Vincent will find much to love here.
