Brighton born Pop and R&B vocalist Lily Knott showed an appetite for music from a younger age than most. At only 21, Lily has already been song writing for a decade. Growing up, inspiration was taken from iconic artists such as Amy Winehouse and Queen and the same nod to British colloquialism can be heard scattered throughout Knott’s tracks thanks to her distinctive Brighton accent.

2021 has been the year Lily’s music evolved into the woman she is becoming, having just released her debut EP ‘Sister Warned Me’ which includes most recent single ‘You Don’t Excite me’, her unfiltered, and heartfelt lyrics combined with soft dream-pop vocals has seen her dubbed as “Joy Crookes meets Lily Allen.” She fits perfectly amongst the likes of Loyle Carner and Jorja Smith by not shying away from the everyday perils of growing up in today’s political landscape alongside the trial and errors of navigating early adulthood.

“I say whatever I want in my music, because I wouldn’t get away with saying it in person. If I upset you, then it probably is about you.”
