For a little more than a year Ghost Notes summed up everything that’s amazing about South London’s musical community, creating a space where depending on the night you could watch sixteen year old jazzers playing their first show, Loyle Carner and Jordan Rakei jumping up on a late night improv session or DJ Spinna making a point of coming and playing a Sunday Dance because he was in town and wanted in on the action. Due to the age old issues of greedy landlords the venue closed its doors in February 2019, but has been mounting guerrilla groove attacks on the capital since.
For their first foray into Central, the Ghost Notes family will be descending on the Social with head honcho Russell Porter and YAM Records very own T Esselle taking up behind the turntables. Expect jazz-indebted riddims and soulful selections from all across the spectrum.
