Shibaali: A Rhythmic Fusion of Eastern Music and EDM live in London
Shibaali is a unique music project created by Habib Meftah, one of the most celebrated percussion players in the world music scene. Habib Meftah’s music pays tribute to his birthplace of Bushehr, a port city in southern Iran that has been shaped by the Persian, African, and Arab cultures over the centuries. His music is energetic, breathless, and mesmerizing, reflecting the diversity and richness of Bushehr’s cultural heritage.
Having worked with renowned international musicians like Adnan Joubran, Azam Ali, and Titi Robin, Habib Meftah brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Shibaali. Together with Rouzbeh Esfandarmaz, a talented woodwind player and improviser with a deep understanding of both western and Iranian music, Shibaali is a fusion of EDM with southern Iranian music. Rouzbeh Esfandarmaz has been part of many successful music projects, including the popular indie band from Iran, Pallet.
