Heavenly and Friends are very proud to present Daudi Matsiko live at the Social on 5th September 2024. A Nottingham based British-Ugandan singer-songwriter, Daudi has been making utterly gorgeous spectral folk music for the last ten years, during which time he has toured with the likes of Keaton Henson, Go Go Penguin and Portico Quartet. His latest album – The King of Misery – was described by Loud and Quiet as ‘dazzling’ and by Far Out as a “minimalistic and beautiful piece of work”.
Support on the night comes from poet/broadcaster Kayo Chingonyi (returning to the Social after previously reading at Emma Warren’s Make Some Space night), and DJ Vandorta who sets the mood throughout the night from behind the decks.
Doors are at 7pm, tickets cost £10.
