Delivering angular alt-rock cut through with deep electronic grooves, Cloth are a Glasgow three-piece comprising twins Rachael and Paul Swinton and Clare Gallacher.
Named a ‘Tip For 2020′ by BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, in the last year the band have performed live sessions for the likes of Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music, Vic Galloway on BBC Radio Scotland, and appeared on the BBC Music Introducing Stage at Latitude Festival, as well as garnered extensive airplay from Elbow’s Guy Garvey and BBC Radio 6 Music’s Stuart Maconie, Don Letts and Chris Hawkins, among others.
After recording a live BBC Music Introducing session at the iconic Maida Vale Studios in September 2019, Cloth released their highly anticipated self-titled debut album on Last Night From Glasgow in November 2019 to critical acclaim.
Having played across the UK including a sold out show in London and a coveted slot on the Creative Scotland Showcase bill at The Great Escape Festival, Cloth are set for a busy festival season in summer 2020. Embarking on their first headline Scottish/UK tour in May 2020, the band will return to London in March on the invite of BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens for a headline show as part of the DJ’s celebrated ‘Huw Stephens Presents…’ series.
