Barry Cain (Flexipop) Raissa Pardini is a Type Artist and Creative Director based in London. She has designed artwork for artists such as The Rolling Stones, Blur, Paul Weller, Mozart Estate, Khruangbin, Idles, Pond, Yard Act, Fontaines DC, Kit Sebastian, Bikini Kill, Squid, The Orielles, Snapped Ankles, Mr Ben & The Bens, Katy J. Pearson and Willie Nelson.
Her work has been acquired by the V&A as part of their permanent collection. Raissa will be playing an eclectic set from some of her favourite records. Kit Sebastian is a duo formed in London by Kit Martin and Merve Erdem, spread between Turkey and France. Their music is a meeting point of different genres from anatolian psychedelia and brazilian tropicalia to 60’s european pop and american jazz. Merve will be playing euro pop, eastern european funk, middle eastern disco, nigerian afrobeat and brazillian bossa nova ahead of Kit Sebastian’s club night Club L’internationale at Paper Dress Vintage on 12th April.
Flexipop magazine ran from 1980 to 1983 and featured a flexi disc with exclusive tracks in each issue. The cover mounted flexi discs featured 80s luminaries such as The Jam, The Cure, Adam & The Ants, Depeche Mode, The Selector, Pretenders, Motörhead, Soft Cell, Altered Images, Blondie, XTC, Madness, Bow Wow Wow, The Associates and Haircut 100. Flexipop co-founder Barry Cain will be playing some of his favourite records and some of the flexi discs that came with the issues of Flexipop.
